Reports confirm that Alan White was into troubled waters due to its mounting financial and business pressures that led to its closure. The company was floated in the year 1954. Soon, with the passage of time, the company soon gained name and fame in the home furnishing section.

Earlier, the company?s strategies were consumer friendly and therefore the brand was ruling several houses. The decor of the drawing and living room soon became the status symbol of people. The sofa under Christal section was the most appealing furniture for the customers.

No doubt, there are lot many market players in the furniture industry including Ashley, Stanley, Nautica, Hooker and many others that act as a competitor to the Alan White, but the latter, at the initial hour, was able to carve a niche in the industry by its subtle efforts. The company officials had to come forward to declare that the company is making efforts to exit from the business. They declared their plans for the liquidation of its assets in controlled manner and then to meet the pending obligations if the company at the earliest.

Although, the officials instilled some hopes for the revival of the business also. They said that there do exist some expectations that the company will be back in business within a few days. However, the firm straightway denied for filing any account for bankruptcy.

Company officials, while not marking their presence, simply said that in a news releases that the reason of closing was chronic and overwhelming industry pressures. Sources quoted various reasons for the closure. Some termed the closure of Atlanta-based retailer Rhodes as the main reason while the other said that loss of sales owing to the consolidation of different departments like the Federated and May department stores resulted in the shutdown.
